Everything was ok got locked out are room as the key stopped working and the meals are not properly cooked I got steak and ale pie with peas and chips the pie was freezing cold, peas were hard and the chips were still raw won’t be having a meal there again. This place has gone down hill rapidly will be thinking twice again about staying there now
The restaurant staff were friendly. Property clean. General customer service needs to improve. Upon arrival at the hotel I was met with hostility, disrespect and very very poor customer service from the hotel owner. I travelled over 9 hours the previous day. When I arrived at the hotel I was spoken to in a crass manner by the hotel owner, who asked why I showed up so early. I explained that I booked the only available flight on that day so I could attend a business event in a nearby city in Scotland. He told me it was not check-in time and I could not stay in the lobby or on the property. He said I should leave the hotel and return at check-in time. This was very disheartening as I was extremely tired and was not familiar with the area. I left the hotel and walked around the area in the cold weather for hours then returned at check-in time. I found this treatment inhumane. The hotel has a restaurant and I was not even given the option to have at least a cup of tea. I booked 2 rooms for 6 nights, for my mom, myself and a friend. All three of us were told by the property owner that we had to leave the hotel and return at check in time. My mom who is over 60 years old had to walk around in the cold weather for hours. This kind of service is unacceptable. I hope this behaviour is never repeated by the hotel owner. This is the era of customer service, as there are options available to customers. How can you treat your customers poorly when they put money in your pocket?
Excellent breakfast, needs painting on the stairway, we found the bed and pillows hard, very clean and tidy, need to mention there is no lift( wife has disability issues)
An inexpensive first stay at this hotel near the M90, and would stay again in the future. Room was very clean. Evening meals were not available and I had to make other arrangements. Cannot comment on breakfast as I has to leave extra early for work. WIFI was a one or two bar service: - suitable for email, but not video-conferencing
