Positives - nothing wrong with rooms except maybe a bit warm, comfy beds, clean, staff all helpful Negatives - if you have any mobility issues accessing the balconies is impossible, there is a masive step up to get onto them. Highly recommend as long as you're physically able because the views are great. They could be more clued up on gluten free, I asked about my breakfast options, was told stuff could be made with gluten free bread or the hot breakfast could be made with some stuff removed. When I asked what would be removed I was handed the allergen folder which then simply confirmed that the Scottish breakfast contained gluten but did not list which items so didnt answer my question. Gave up at that point, ordered eggs florantine which came without spinach so could do better on that front.

Great Hotel in a great location!
We were visiting Edinburgh for a couple days on a longer trip and of the three hotels we stayed in this hotel was the best experience. Friendly staff and nice comfortable rooms. We arrived early in the city and were able to get our room at 10:00 AM. I have stayed in hotels that have a policy that the earliest they can check in is noon, even if there is a room available. I was fully prepared to check my luggage but they gave us our room right away. There was a cute duck awaiting us upon our arrival and I love that different Apex hotels have different ducks! I want to stay at different locations now just to collect them all!

Lovely hotel in a perfect location.
This hotel is in a perfect location within easy walking distance of all of the main sights and the Christmas market in Princes Street. The hotel was very busy given the time of year, but not uncomfortable.

The staff were truly amazing!!! I am currently on crutches and they made every effort possible to assist me and make my stay as comfortable as possible. I highly recommend the hotel for a stay in Edinburgh, especially if you need a bit of help.

Fantastic location and very easy to walk to the main attractions of Edinburgh. The castle view from the hotel and the hotel room was stunning. Excellent breakfast and staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a family room with two double beds. The room was nice but is beginning to show its age with slight wear and tear in places. The beds were not the most comfortable with the mattress a bit springy but still decent enough to get a good nights sleep. The pillows were lovely. Bathroom was modern, nice and clean with great amenities. They also have a small pool which we didn’t use but it looked quite nice. Overall a great stay and I would stay again.
