Malmason Edinburgh.
Great location and a lovely hotel. Staff are friendly and the room we had was great. The bed was very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel as a fantastic base to explore Edinburgh.

Not a Luxury suite!!
We booked a suite for this trip thinking 4* hotel in the centre of Edinburgh it’s going to be pretty good… At check in we told you have a fabulous suite on the 10th floor, but the lift only goes to the 8th floor and that we would have to “work a little harder for our luxury suite” and had 2 flights of stairs to climb. The suite it’s self, well I wouldn’t call it a suite more of deluxe room, no separate seating area, sofa etc that you would expect in a suite. Quite spacious with a bath in the room and an average bathroom. The area where the bed was carpeted with wooden beading around it but the carpet was tatty, frayed and dirty also the beading was quite rough and sharp in places. We arrived on the Friday and there were trays, plates and glasses with someone’s left overs sitting in the stairway they were still there on Sunday afternoon!!! When paying over £1100 for a 3 night stay I would expect a better SUITE than what was provided. The staff on the whole were very friendly and the hotel was clean and in a great location. From seeing into one of the standard rooms I don’t see how the price difference can be justified 🤔

Malmaison was great however I booked through Expedia, I searched for myself, wife and child. I had to pay £25 a night for a bed for her, not the hotels fault & an extra £23 for breakfast… so hit with an extra £96. Emailed Expedia to complain no reply, take my advice don’t use Expedia!!

Lovely stay at the Malmaison in Edinburgh City, very friendly and helpful staff at the reception desk. Very close to the huge shopping centre and plenty of restaurants to choose from within walking distance.The only negative point was the terribly slow service in the hotel bar, both nights we sat for over 20 minutes waiting to be served and eventually gave up and went elsewhere because of this.

Very good but needs some illumination
Second stay , great location , staff , room and breakfast . The only negative is the lighting design , rooms are a bit dark but the lack of a decent lighting / mirror set up means very difficult to do hair and makeup .

Very convenient location. Lovely, helpful staff. Excellent WiFi. Nice, modern furniture with high profile tastes and matching coloures. Probably need brighter lighting in the rooms to help the lovely dark colours of the wall and furniture. Modern, very nice bright bathroom.

We liked everything about this hotel. Lovely staff, great room (club) and wonderful breakfast. Location is minutes walk from Waverley train station & v central for exploring but on a quiet square.
