Good sized room, comfortable and well fitted out. Some minor maintenance issues need attention. Disappointing that there is no residents’ drinks service after the bar closes at 11pm.

Staff was amazingly helpful and friendly. Our room was clean, comfortable and had an amazing, top floor view north over the city to the Firth. Lounge, bar and breakfast area are exquisite. Only reason i didn't give straight fives is I'm 73 years old and walking up four flights of stairs wasn't fun, although the staff's speed at handling luggage lessened my efforts ten fold. A real gem in the heart of Edinburgh.

Good experience lovely hotel friendly staff good breakfast. I did find the single bed a little uncomfortable. The hotel is very close to John Lewes and 8 mins from Waverley station

Staff here was incredibly welcoming and courteous . they were very accommodating to our needs and spoke so gently and so kindly! Great service The allowed us leave our luggage here for 3 days prior to our visit so we can enjoy our tour and even let us keep our luggage on the day of checkout! Thank you so much

Friendly staff and large room. Very convenient location for seeing the historic sites and even taking the tram directly to the airport. Only downside was there is no room ventilation and the windows are hard to open. Suspect this is common in historic properties.
