Great staff at checkin late evening. I was surprised going to the room that there was just very slow elevator. I didn’t think then that would be a good idea since if it’s needing maintenance or is out of order, the only other option would be the staircase. Who wants To show up and be told your room is on the 4th floor and it’s on you to get all your luggage to your room. We were thrilled with the room. So round my and nice. Went to breakfast the next morning and it was a typical hotel buffet breakfast. I got a luggage cart and went up to the third floor to gather our things. And pack up everything. Then started to elevator, but the elevator was being used by the people cleaning the rooms. It seemed like the 3rd floor was where everything was stored. First a staff person gets off the elevator and in her determination to make both the housekeeping person with his cart and then me with my luggage cart that she just let the elevator go. Then the housekeeping person in front of me couldn’t get in the elevator when it stopped due to his big cart and other people always on it. I finally gave up and made two trips hauling our luggage down the stairs. I took my room door cards to the front desk and told the front desk person just how bad this was to make employees more a priority of elevator than customers trying to get around the hotel. She just said that it’s an issue for housekeeping as well and blew me off. So if no one cares, nothing is going to be fixed.
