The pros: very close to park entrance. Nice pools and internal restaurants. The cons: breakfast not included and pricy, there are no dining options in the area and supermarkets are very small. There were loads of ants in the kitchen and it took the staff 2 days to take it seriously and spray them.

Staff are excellent, can’t say enough about them. Check in was great. Store is perfect for missing/forgotten items. As noted before, beds are not great but they will do. A/C in our unit worked almost too perfect 😁. If you plan to use laundry facilities which are awesome, be ready for people to not monitor the time on the washers/dryers. We just took stuff out as clothes sat for 20 minutes after cycle ended. Too many people need access for guests to be oblivious about that. Very close to park entrance. Another satisfied customer for pizza on site as well. Pizza and restaurant prices are reasonable for access.

The property has a fun retro feel. The river view was great. The bathrooms are dated. The room had a kitchette. The pools were nice. We really liked the s'mores. Had we planned ahead, we would have brought food to cook. The restaurant on site was not good. Overall, we'd stay here again. It was very close to the park entrance and a great place to stay with a family.

I highly recommend this place. The staff was super helpful and knowledgeable about the park. Great location and the room itself was comfortable after a long day of hiking. I have no complaints and I plan to book this location. The next time I visit.

Reception staff not friendly. They charge $10 per day for security but charged $42.06 for 3 days stay, then I see an additional charge of 12.06 after I checked out (what a ripoff)! Balconies/patios have NO privacy! We had to keep the drapes closed on the patio door because the teenager next door would stand on their patio and look into our unit. 2 packets of coffee for 3 days. Really noisy upstairs people.

Pretty costly per night but I understand it’s conveniently located right next to the park and not many other options in the area. The room was clean and comfortable and the river behind our room was gorgeous and the sound of the running water peaceful.

our room had a little balcony with the view of the merced river. room was spacious. it had a little microwave, toaster, stove, pots/pans, cups/plates and refrigerator. the hotel was located very close to the entrance of yosemite. few pools to enjoy during the day. also had indoor pool. play grown for little ones. i especially loved the swing chairs by the river to enjoy the sound. ah! the starts during the night is amazing!

Riverside rooms are the way to go
I usually stay at Yosemite Westgate Lodge but that’s about an hr commute each way into the valley. This hotel is about 20min each way, so it saves alot of time. I came here with my pregnant wife and it was easy to come have breakfast at the Awahnee, go back for her to rest and come in later to enjoy the valley some more. Definitely recommend the RIVERSIDE rooms as that’s the main attraction here. Wake up in the morning and have a cup of coffee watching the river flow or after a long hike, sit down and have a cold brew. 10/10 We decided to stay here because we were doing our first little road trip in our tesla and there are tesla superchargers about 30secs from the hotel (and even that might be overestimating) lol. Used about 10% charge to go and come back into the valley so it was very convenient.
