The floor was wet. At least that meant it had been mopped but because the AC was not on, it was not dry. Shower was small and awkward. Very basic room, nothing special. But the lady at the front desk was very nice.

Upgrade Desperately Needed!!!
Recreational Marijuana is legal there. The halls reeked of the smell. Guys standing outside the hotel just puffing away. Our first room was leaking from the AC, the pillows and bed smelled nothing like fresh, but it had a closet door and a 2nd TV. We moved to another room that didn't have a closet door, the bathroom door wouldn't close, there was no 2nd TV, and the previous guests or cleaners left us some ruffles on the floor, dried ketchup on the counter. And none of the ice machines worked. The nail holes in the walls were from previous picture placement but instead of filling them, they were painted over.

Good overall. Some noisiness from a few long term guests and next door (#224?). The room nice - the bed was firm enough. Water temperature was good. Internet worked. I did laundry at 5AM - it was open only to guests. That worked out. Had to provide a deposit ($40 or 50) - but was returned the next day. 4.1 out of 5. If you get bothered by noise, probably more likely 3.6.

First time I’ve ever had to pay a $50 deposit at a motel 6 and I use motel 6’s two to three times a month. Would be nice if they tell you about the deposit prior to the stay.

I have stayed at Motel 6 in several states over the years. They have been clean, in good condition and a good choice for the price. With that being my expectation in Elizabethtown KY, I was extremely disappointed. The room was shoddy to say the least. The beds were clean so we stayed the night. The stairs leading to the second floor were missing large pieces of concrete. The staff who checked us in was less than professional. They had a conversation in front of me on whether to charge me a room deposit. They decided that a 66 year old woman appeared to be a threat to the condition of the motel and held a $50. room deposit on a room that costs less than $100. to stay in. This motel brings down the positive opinion of the Motel 6 chain.
