My review is the same as others, out dated, tv didn’t work, room cards didn’t work, bar closed at 8pm, the little convience store was lacking, lots of people shaking there heads. Wouldn’t stay here again.

The hotel was large. Parking was limited good distance to walk. Inside the hotel its also a long walk to the room many buildings. Really I’m noise was loud with adjoining rooms. We came back to a really strong pot smell some one made the hotel stink bad. Staff was trying to locate room. Nice area with a lot of history

It's a nice place. But our room was no nicer and was more basic than one we could have gotten at a comfort suites or Holiday Inn... for $320 a night it was very unstated. Beds were clean and comfortable. But even our mini refrigerator was in our bathroom?! Extremely long walk to our room with luggage - no help offered or carts. So if you are older or disabled ask or call ahead to ensure you have assistance around the grounds. Its safe here and a historic beautiful property with good staff but for $320 and our "room" I'd be inclined to look for newer, upgraded accomodations first.

Great hotel but definitely a little dated. Also we had people running around the floor above us at 3-4am which was not a good experience. The layout is weird for a hotel but great location and history. Would not stay again.

I loved the history of the location with both the King Mansion and the Biddle Mansion. The 26 acres for walking was great and I wish I had had time to use the tennis courts. The location was also a plus.

It wasn’t worth the money. The service was bad. One guy was working alone so I feel bad for him, but I wasn’t helped very much. He didn’t warn me that it was a long way to my room with stairs. I went back to ask if there was an elevator and he just said no sorry. So I had to lug my large suitcase and bags down and up multiple flights of stairs. Then I got to my room and had to go all the way back up to the lobby area so I could drive my car down to their parking area and find my room again. The next morning I hurt my back taking my luggage out of the hotel. Also I had called before and asked if there were microwaves in the room and somebody told me yes in every room. My room did not have a microwave so I had to go back to the lobby to warm up the food I bought from the store. Obviously the grounds are pretty and I like that it’s a historical estate, but I wouldn’t stay again because of the service. Also the rooms aren’t very nice.

Room 293 haunted.
Room 293 in King Mansion is haunted. Yes. No one told us that about this place but we found out AFTER the fact! I ended up sleeping in my vehicle and my husband stayed in the room and a terribly disturbing night with very little rest. You should alert people this type of information before hand!

Not impressed
Very displeased. I booked TWO estate king suites. We ended up in The Cottage with one king bedroom and one queen bedroom. The king bedroom only had one facecloth! They charged me for two king bedrooms. After I went to the office, they did lower the price for the queen room. There is no signage and it was tricky to find the cottage, there was not enough parking, so we made our own parking spot. Walking around at night is unsafe, as the grounds are not well lit and it is very hilly.
