I booked this hotel thinking it was in Emporia Ks as that is what I put into the app, all the other hotels that came up were in Emporia. Once I realized it was in the wrong city,100 miles away I could not cancel it. No one at the hotel had authority to refund my charge.

Two things; 1) At check in, Terry was extremely helpful. 2) I learned that the one of two wall switches just inside the room door needs to be turned “on” for the desk and nightstand USB ports and power plugs to work. That’s too confusing. Should simply be powered up all the time.

Small town Ottawa in Kansas, nice staff. Most said hello. Good enough breakfast in a nice, airy lobby area. Comfortable beds with blackout drapes and perfect size room. Everything you can expect from holiday in Express.
