I booked this property for the pool. The photo that represents this hotel is even just a pic of their pool. When we arrived, the pool was closed, covered, and dirty. It appeared to have not been opened for the season. There are cheaper options locally that would likely be just as good if not better than this option. They should state if the pool is closed or if they no longer offer that.

Property was okay. Cost of room was a little steep for what you get. Room was clean, but bed sagged a bit in the middle. Pool was closed and drained in the middle of July with no explanation as to why. Property looked a bit run down, but was fine for the purpose of a place to sleep between destinations. Breakfast was very good.

The staff was courteous and helpful. The breakfast was great. We were very disappointed the pool cover was on and the pool had not opened by July 4 weekend. This was not communicated ahead and we were looking forward to swimming with family, having several rooms rented to enjoy the pool together during a family reunion.

We stopped overnight on our way from Dallas to Denver. These folks are doing everything right. The room is very spacious, comfortable, and tastefully decorated with the culture of the area. You can park right outside your door. they are pet friendly, they have solid wifi, and the breakfast and service is superb. Clayton is a sleepy little New Mexico town on the main highway. There is a Love's travel stop right across the street. We left recharged and ready for the remainder of our trip. If you need a stopover please give these folks your business; you will have good accommodations here.

Good place to stay the night on the way to the Rockies. Was mostly clean and had a nice breakfast. Staff was excellent. Our room did smell a bit when we got in and the floors do not feel overly clean. Mostly just because it's an older property. Definitely serviceable for a quick overnight stay on your way. Great breakfast!
