I was here for a convention that got cancelled last minute, so I ended up spending my whole week in the apartment with my co-worker as though it was our home-office, and this was the perfect location for that!
To start, I have to say how gorgeous this apartment was! Lots of space, plenty of table/desk space, a washer/dryer, a dishwasher, a super comfortable bed, sprawling kitchen with all new appliances, and 2 roku-ready TVs! We did not have an children with us, but the place was READY for them - there were covers on all the outlets, and baby supplies all throughout the place. The aesthetic was also wonderful and there was a little balcony that was shared with the apartment next door, where I sat in the sun in the afternoons. It is a little close to the street (2nd floor), so the balcony had some LA road dust, but that's unavoidable. The pool area was also lovely, nice heated pool and a luxurious hot tub.
The area was also nice! I felt safe walking by myself during the day and even into the evenings. There were sidewalks everywhere, very walkable. The apartment is walking distance from downtown Fullerton where you can find lots of restaurants, bars, and a few yoga studios. There are also a few shopping complexes within a 10 min walk that include Sprouts Farmer's Market grocery store, Costco, Office Depot, Starbucks, Panera, and many other suburban staples.
The biggest issue was with communication. The management did send me a few big long messages explaining how to get my key fob and get into the apartment, but it was extremely complicated (the key fob was in a different building) and when I tried to contact someone for help with check in, no one was reachable. The message I received said that someone would be available to help until 9pm, but I called and messaged numerous times at 7pm, and could not get a hold of anyone. Luckily, the instructions were detailed enough that I was able to figure it out eventually, but check in ended up taking us about 45 minutes.
Also, there is ONLY ONE KEY FOB, and they have not been able to get a second one from the building, I asked. This is extremely inconvenient as you need the key fob to do everything in the building - even lock the door to the apartment. This meant that when my coworker went to the pool, she needed the key fob to open the pool gate, but when I went down there to meet her 10 min later, I was unable to lock the apartment on my way out. This really needs to be remedied.
