Despite the issues at the hotel where there was total loss of water staff tried to maintain service unfortunately there was no contingency plans to provide temporary water supplies for sanitation and hygiene issues which forced customers to use facilities external to the hotel. This did taint our trip and it was a full 48 Hours before some service were restored. The hotel has agreed to a full reimbursement for our stay but this process is still ongoing.

I love that it’s got its old charm. The staffs at the front desk and restaurant are all super friendly. I love the hotel’s location across Eyre Square where the Christmas Market is located. Very convenient also to all transportation.

Room was very large however bathroom sinks did not drain and there was a sulphuric small coming from drains. There were no mirrors to blow dry or curl hair with accessible plugs. The hotel is conveniently located close to everything so great location to your the sights. Bed and pillows comfortable.

Beautiful old hotel in a great location!
We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful old hotel right next to the train station and in the very walkable city of Galway. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable and I appreciated the water cartons in the room. We would definitely stay here again!

What an incredible experience! The hotel is absolutely beautiful with clean and spacious rooms. The mattress was very comfortable for our liking and I would recommend to anyone traveling to Galway to stay here! Many bars/shops within a 5 minute walking distance. In our opinion the perfect place to stay! If there was one negative it would be the parking. The parking area is about 500 meters away (per the receptionist). When checking in just pull up in front of the hotel to get checked in. Then decide if you want to go to the hassle of finding the parking garage or just valet park. We had the valet park for us. Self parking is 11 euro a night and valet is 30 euro.
