The pictures makes one think you will be on the boardwalk. Nope!!!! The hotel is down the street from the boardwalk just outside of Bethany Beach. The trolley isn't allowed to pick up or drop off because it's just outside of city limits. Also, there is a parking fee AND a cleaning fee of $25 if you want your room serviced.

We have stayed at this hotel for about 10 years and have never had any big issues. The older staff is fantastic and I sure wish this recent incident was handled differently. We will unfortunately not be staying here anymore. When you have cleaning staff that works at a pet friendly hotel they should at least know the basics of how to interact with a dog and not be afraid and create chaos when a 12lb dog gets loose in the hotel hallway. The manager on duty didn’t respond very well and laughed off the situation. Saying….” Our staff isn’t use to dogs chasing them at work.” Our dog wasn’t chasing until he made it a game as other staff laughed creating a what a dog views as playtime. Staff stated the “dog was trying to kill him.” Don’t hire staff that is afraid of dogs at a “pet friendly” hotel.

Hotel Bethany staff was extremely helpful upon check-in. They provided a vast amount of information in the surrounding area including area shuttle and beach accommodations. Room was clean and modern.

Close to the beach. Nice room with comfy beds. Great for a short stay at the beach. Overall a clean hotel. Our bathroom floor needed some extra cleaning. Not a huge deal. We would stay again.

Very nice and friendly staff. Easy walk to the beach. Great price and so convenient for families. Mini golf, pool, and restaurants within walking distance. The rooms were nice and clean and modern. We want to come back!

Overpriced for basically a motel 6. Room was dirty when we arrived. No housekeeping. You have to get your own towels and they expected us to strip the beds and deposit the linens and dirty towels in a bin. And there is an additional charge for parking!! Crazy!!

Very basic
Hotel is clean. Room was spacious but sparsely furnished. Bed was comfortable. Free breakfast was very bland. Maid service is not included, although you can pay extra for it. Also parking is not included and must pay extra to park in hotel lot.
