Very dark rooms. You can tell that buildings need to be better maintained as our balcony had peeling paint and the stopper for the bathtub was broken. Loved the quietness, tranquility, and beauty of the lake.
cabins are along the emerald lake, our cabin has lake view, food are good in restaurant. Breakfast buffet for purchase

The staff are not trained, very poor check in experience, no help with luggage, no drop off at our cabin which was about half a mile away in the dark.

The location and ambience are fantastic. The accommodation was very good. The major let down was breakfast - overcooked eggs and bacon. Bar food was good. The Mount Burgess for dinner was very pleasant but the elk was also overcooked.
This place is amazing. Quiet after tour buses leave. Truly in the wilderness. Beautiful cabins overlooking the lake. To die for views.

Beautiful resort! A bit dated for the price but it’s not unusual to see rundown places in the mountains. Could use updating. The restaurant and service were amazing!
Food is not accessible in the evening unless you have reservations. We had photos at sunset and had no choice but to leave the property to get food from a gas station
The property was beautiful but it was very busy and hectic. It didn’t feel relaxing . The dinner was delicious in the dining room but the waiter was overwhelmed with too many tables. Also we couldn’t park close to the hotel and had to be shuttled in which was inconvenient. I felt like everything was so hectic that no one really took care to give personal attention. Although the area
was beautiful I wouldn’t return . We stayed at Lorraine lake lodge and service was ten times better and it was also very beautiful. They had many special touches that made our stay amazing . Here I felt like just a number.
The location is incredibly beautiful. The lodge itself is dated by rustically charming. The best part about staying at the lodge is being able to enjoy it at night and in the early morning before the thousands of day trippers arrive. The food options are pricey and could be better for the prices charged. The newly renovated outdoor hot tub was excellent.

Beautiful lakefront property. We stayed in Room 122 which has a beautiful unobstructed view of the lake and the mountains. The location gives it a 5 star rating. However the condition of the rooms could be better. The property is clean, but it’s way overdue for a coat of paint and basic maintenance jobs.
Beautiful setting, amazing food and friendly staff. The shuttle set up was a bit annoying. The room decor was dark and outdated. The public shouldn't be allowed to walk around the hotel property, they were very loud and disrespectdul (I witnessed a father tell his son to urinate in the bushes in front of a cabin) and I feel that paying guests should have first access to the canoes. Perhaps the first hour of them opening should be for the guests to rent first? We were there for the surroundings and stayed at the lodge because of the convenience.

The best amenity was the wood burning fireplace in the suite and the access to the lake. For the price paid everything was a big run down and out dated, especially the bathroom. There was carpet throughout. I can’t remember the last time I stayed somewhere that had carpet. It is probably for sound purposes as there was another unit above us, but unless the carpet is being steamed each turnover, it’s gross.
They did give us a nice dog treat gift upon arrival and the bed was very comfortable with as many pillows as we liked.
If the cabins had been upgraded the price would make sense. For me it’s a 3 star location until then.
