The property was on the Ocean. A beautiful pool and with three dining options on the premises. The grounds of the resort were meticulously maintained with gorgeous plants and flowers. Would definitely return.

I did last minute booking thru Expedia and they still upgrade my booking to one of their sister hotel which has the best location in Bar Harbor especially walking around downtown. I will definitely come back to Harborside Hotel Spa and Marina. Guest staff are all friendly .

This Holiday Inn is a very nice hotel in the outer part of Bar Harbor. It seems to be part of a larger condo complex or something which gives it a nice waterfront property to walk around. There's a nice outdoor pool and hot tub. The hotel itself is perhaps starting to show signs of its age, but the room was clean and comfortable. The Italian restaurant was very nice. They also have a less formal seafood cafe in the back along the water but we didn't have the opportunity to try it out. Overall it's a great place to stay in Bar Harbor and a decent value considering how expensive accommodations are in the area.

Do not waste your money here!!
We checked in to a dirty room, the carpet wasn’t vacuumed & toe nails all over the floor, housekeeping came and took photos & didn’t even apologize or offer any compensation or a new room, after they left we found the bathroom covered in hairs. The hotel is 20 years overdue for a remodel and they’re charging 5 star pricing. The mattress & pillows are old, dirty, zero comfort found in the room. Old tv’s, spiders everywhere. Worst of all they have an 8 person hot tub (outdoors only) for 1,000 people & they let it stay full of kids so you can’t even relax and enjoy the hot tub. No indoor pool or tub and the workout room is disgustingly old and dirty with equipment from the 90’s. I’ve never been so disappointed. The only thing this place has is a view out back & a super cool bartender from Jamaica that they don’t deserve.

It truly looked like a postcard the ocean view the grounds are kept clean and we even played pickle ball ..the only thing I would suggest is better knowledge for people who didn’t rent a car on how to get to the airport as there aren’t Ubers

House keeping was great. We found little surprises in our room almost daily (shoes arranged, folded clothes, toothbrushes in cups). It was more than just typical housekeeping. The city had great transportation options for the whole city as well. We hardly had a need for the car we rented for our trip.

Hotel is somewhat dated but room was very clean. Beautiful views of the harbor from the rear of the hotel. Dining at Stewman’s Lobster Pound at the hotels pier was fantastic. Free shuttle bus into Bar Harbor stopped directly in front of the hotel which was very convenient. Very close to Acadia park entrance.

Our room faced the ocean which was lovely. However the room and bedding felt damp. It seemed as though the AC was not removing moisture from the air. At one point we had to turn on the heat to dry things out.

We were celebrating a big anniversary and loved our room in the Stone House. I did not know about this building on the grounds of the hotel. Either it was given to us because I told them about our trip or we got lucky.The end room was spacious, with a sectional sofa, ottoman, one covered porch and open air deck. What we didnt like was you couldn't get lunch, nothing was open on the property for lunch. We did takeout a lot!.

We felt the price was high for this hotel. The rooms are outdated and need upgrading. The service at front desk was poor, and we tried several times to call front desk & couldn't get through. The location, grounds and pool are really great however. Just needs an upgrade to charge those prices.

The saving grace here is the view of the ocean, which is where Mother Nature does more for this resort than any human member of the staff. The property and its rooms are dated. The coffee machine in one of our two full-priced rooms did not work. The intercom did not work, so you could not reach the help desk to inform them of things not working in the room. The pack and play we requested for our infant was broken. The intercom was broken, so we could not let the front desk know. The pool was closed early for a deep clean, without notice. The dining options were fairly limited and overpriced. Drive into town, you'd feel better. If you're the kind of human who gets thirsty and wants to drink water. The room has 2 bottles. If you want more, buy it from the vending machine. Room service will not give you fresh bottles of water. Housekeeping was also below par. There are no plates or cutlery of any sort, not even paper plates, anywhere on the property.. if you're the kind of human being that eats off a plate, good luck. The staff will not help, unless you are persistent and prepared to argue.

Great location. Loved the lit pickleball courts. Nice lounge and grounds. Disappointed the pool was out of service for the one full day we were there. Otherwise nice stay.
