Nice stay
It was only a one night stay. We’ve stayed before. Breakfast is good. Only drawback, no elevator which is a must for us. The hotel was able to accommodate us by giving us a ground floor room, close to parking. It was very nice. Two front desk clerks, very polite.

"Dad... why did he call you a liar? I saw you call and talk to them... He wasn't telling the truth." Those were the words of my 11-year-old as we walked out of a Quality Inn in Williams, AZ. If you were a detective, you'd probably want to know: who am I, who called me a liar, and why? But before we get to that, let me give you a quick overview. Last Thursday, my family and I were returning home to Mesa, AZ after a trip to the Grand Canyon. I had booked a night at the Quality Inn to make our journey easier. Due to a snowstorm, I knew we would be checking in late, so I called the hotel around 9 p.m. (screenshot of the call included) to let them know we'd arrive around 1 a.m. The person on the phone assured me it wouldn't be a problem. However, when we finally arrived—exhausted, as you'd expect after a long day of travel—things took an unexpected turn. When I approached the front desk, I was told the hotel was sold out. I wasn't worried, though. I had my reservation and had called to confirm our late arrival. But the clerk insisted my room was given away because we were a "no-show." He went even further, saying I never called—claiming that, since he was on duty, he would know. I clarified that I had called, and that my son was with me during the call. To my disbelief, the clerk called me a liar. I showed him the call log on my phone, confirming the hotel’s number and the call duration. Still, he refused to help, offering no apology or solution. Quality Inns seem to have gone downhill in the past couple of years. The room served its purpose, but the beds were not great, the heating unit didnt work right, and the breakfast was awful.

It’s a nice place to stay for what you pay (: Free breakfast and free parking make it worth it if you’re used to it being one or the other. The rooms were clean and the staff was nice. The vending machine didn’t give us our stuff, but still charged us. So we went to the front and they just let us grab something from the fridge. Super nice of them! It was also close enough to all of the Route 66 attractions and something like 14 minutes from Bearizona maybe closer. There was a Maverick right across the street as well for quick fill ups and road snacks.

on our way to the property we were involved in a multicar accident on I 10.I called The property and they agreed to cancel my reservation but asked me to inform Hotels.com once i did this the property flat refused to cancel my reservation. They couldnt have cared less about what took place and as far as they were concerned this was not their problem.

We loved the outdoor pool and hot tub. We loved the taco truck in the parking lot. We loved how close it was to lots of other good food and so easy to get to the Grand Canyon from there. It was a bit noisy though and not in a pretty or walk-able area.

You have to be really careful with all these ‘wonderful’ and ‘superb’ reviews some of these chain places get. Seriously, this hotel in my opinion, was 2 degrees off being a dive. The lady at reception was delightful but it was downhill from there. Nothing was new as the ‘reviews’ suggested. Carpet was dirty, the beds were old and uncomfortable. At the blinds were broken and they were running food trucks in the carpark at night… what? Once again I was sucked in by inaccurate reviews.

Front Desk person was pleasant and friendly even though we checked in at 1am. Breakfast was ok. Staff kept the breakfast area clean although it was busy. Breakfast 6:30-9:30am but they stop replenishing food by 9am. No elevator, so request 1st floor if you don't like stairs. Beds were VERY comfortable.
