Location was perfect! Walk to restaurants downtown, river walk etc. hotel was beautiful, great amenities. Parking was my least favorite. It was expensive to park there, $41 in garage $45 valet but it wouldn’t stop me from staying there again bc the upside made up for it

The property and the staff were very helpful and welcoming. We were traveling with our bulldog and again everyone was great, my only complaint was the restaurant which had outdoor seating/patio didn't allow pets. This wasn't the end of the world as Grand Rapids overall is extremely pet friendly, and we had a great time. Just confusing why, a hotel is pet friendly but doesn't allow them on the patio. The valet and bellhops are first class, and they are very professional, a huge thanks to all of them.

First time stay. Nice hotel. Rooms were nice but family member and I booked at same time for this hotel and paid the same price. I was in 3rd floor and family member got 18th floor upgraded room for whoever reason with River view. There were many events during our visit and our room neighbors were obnoxiously loud with many people in their room. After calling guest services, security come up twice to quite the noise and break up the party. In addition, the 3rd floor is still close to street level if overlooking city view. Very noisy with cars revving engines until 1-2 am. I did receive a $50 refund due to the disturbance however so the hotel did make it right. If saying in the future, I would request a River view room. This is a beautiful venue for weddings and banquets so if you prefer a quiet visit it may not be possible in this hotel.

The room was outdated. Beds were extremely hard as well as pillows. No choice in pillow firmness. Linens were uncomfortable. Bathroom had industrial toilet that was extremely loud. Could even hear other rooms flushing. Mold in shower doors. Bottled water was $3 in room. Called down to desk to ask for one bottle of water. It never arrived. No choice in restaurants for dinner. Only one available, didnt open till 4. When I returned home I found I had been billed twice for the alrady outrageous $45.00 valet parking. I am disputing the second charge. I refuse to pay $90 for one nights parking in their garage. I was so looking forward to this stay. I came with two friends (we are all recent widows) to enjoy a Christian concert. My parents had stayed here many times through the years and truly enjoyed it. Sadly we did not. The hotel needs lots of updates. If you want to remain a rare jewel in Grand Rapids you will need to step up your accommodations to reflect your price.

Eh. Understaffed and the staff they do have may be undertrained. Not many amenities offered in a hotel with rooms up to $1000+. Beautiful old hotel that is probably too costly to staff appropriately. Too bad. I was hoping it would be more.

Excellent valet for super easy in and out!! THANK YOU! We also were thrilled to be able to get a really nice late night dinner right at our hotel. Only complaint— no vent in the bathroom for airflow and room took a LONG time to get cool… will definitely visit again though- close to most everything downtown too!
