Welcome to the Alder. This is a one bedroom, one bathroom... ADA compatible with handicap parking, ADA ramp to get in...and ADA amenities once inside. Full kitchen, sweet dining nook and laundry room. Queen size bed in bedroom as well as queen size sofa couch in living room. The Alder is one of six cottages, part of Creektown Cottages which includes a fenced private yard as well as a community farm table, extra outdoor seating and BBQ shared with the other 5 cottages.
Located in the heart of Historic Downtown Grass Valley. Perfect for those exploring the foothills. Great for families, weekend getaways & extended stay for business.
Historic Grass Valley has so much to offer from arts, to music to hiking and water sports. Hosts have gathered local information on things to do and places to go and have binders in each cottage for your use.

Felt good to be in the hood
Growing up in the area, we thought we knew every place to stay. This little hidden gem, came to our surprise a few months ago when planning for a visit. We LOVED everything about this place, location, accommodations, and nicely decorated. Ease in check in & out process, was also seamless!

We enjoyed staying in our Creekside Cottage! Communication with Lore was a breeze. The home was clean and cozy and around the corner from the main/historic downtown area. We will definitely return! Thanks for being dog friendly!

A cute place for a weekend away!
We had such a nice time staying at The Alder and Creektown Cottages. Our group was staying in Grass Valley for four nights on a trip out of town from Oakland, and I couldn’t rate the cabin high enough for amenities, location, and convenience. The cabin was very clean, was thoughtfully decorated, had a wonderful kitchen, and had better water pressure than I have in my shower at home! The cottage was right in the middle of town, convenient to shops and restaurants. We would love to return, but if our group comes back we’ll definitely spring for one of the 2-bedroom cottages, as the bed in the bedroom (which was amazing) was way more comfortable than the pull-out bed in the living room — which was to be expected. Loved the common spaces and the ease of access with the keypad rather than messing with keys.

A true gem in the foothills
Absolutely the best place to stay in Grass Valley. The cottages are clean and adorable, centrally located and close to all amenities. We cannot recommend the Creektown Cottages enough.
