10 min from town and the Kirkjufell. Would advise to have a car of course. We liked our room as it was very spacious and had a private kitchen/dining area including stove, oven, microwave and tea/coffee. Check in was simple and information is provided prior to arrival. It was a clean space with comfortable twin beds.
Clean and comfortable property. Has been updated nicely.

We checked in late and I was expecting to enjoy the view of the mountain in the morning. But when we arrived, we were informed that the pavers are coming in the morning so it’s either we leave early or leave late. I wish there’s a way to post pictures because it was right outside my door. Big truck and smelly asphalt. I wished I was informed ahead of time. The staff was either unfriendly or just overworked. I don’t want to judge people I don’t know, but it would be nice to have a warm welcoming voice. Lastly, they need a new dryer. It took me two hours to dry our clothes.
Great location looking across bay to Kirkjufell!!!! Close to town but loved having the feel of private spot. Apartment was spacious and comfortable beds and very quiet.
We loved staying at this modern guesthouse with heated floors. It had two separate bedrooms with a water closet in between and a large kitchen and gathering area. The lady that checked us in was very sweet. From 9-10am, they have someone available to talk to about your travel recommendations or life in Iceland. The gentleman was very kind and informative. The view from the guesthouse is spectacular on one side the mountain and on the other the sea. They provide slippers for use and request that shoes are taken off once entering the guesthouse. This was one of the few places that provided a tv and washcloths. We loved staying here and wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Close to small village for dinner and coffee.
My son and I enjoyed our stay of one night, first time in a guesthouse. We had a room with large window facing Kirkjufell, and another smaller window facing the road coming in. The view was incredible! Very clean facility. The beds were comfortable but the blanket covers looked worn but clean. Receptionist walked with us to show our building. I used the cookware and whatever spices they had in the kitchen to make dinner. The kitchen and the living room all have large windows facing Kirkjufell. There are 2 restrooms with showers behind the kitchen area, very spacious and clean. Their well water was super cold and delicious. kirkjufell was only 5-10 min away. Highly recommend this place.
Beautiful location with an iconic view. The kitchen was well stocked. Staff were friendly and helpful. My only suggestion would be investing in new linens and pillows.

It feels like a pretty old guesthouse. Stairs are kind of steep and the carpets are thin so really do watch your steps. The view is absolutely breathtaking. You see the Kirkjufell Mountain right outside (at least at the room I'm in). About a 3 min drive from the closest city, so it's actually pretty quiet and peaceful. Two beautiful waterfalls nearby (walkable). Two shower rooms at the bottom floor which was a little bit inconvenient. You can also kind of hear noises in the other rooms such as snoring if you're sensitive to that. Other than those, not a bad place to stay at for a pit stop. I would come back here again.
