We have been staying at the historic Santa Maria for many years. The staff is friendly and professional as well as knowledgeable. The hotel offers a restaurant which serves delicious food and the service is amazing. The hotel is convenient to the mall and other restaurants.

We were disappointed in the cleanliness of the room. We arrived late so I called front desk the next morning to see if we were able to switch rooms for the additional 3 nights we would be staying (booked Dec. 26th-29th). Front desk clerk was amazing and offered to have staff clean and offered a $50 compensation on our reservation. When I asked front desk when we checked out, I was told they knew nothing about the compensation and that I would need to speak to the manager. I called the manager a number of times and left messages with no response. My complaint is not the service of the original front desk personnel, it is of the manager who wouldn't bother to call me back and make good on the compensation I was told I would be given.

Had a great check in experience with Emma. She’s so friendly n was able to get us into a room the morning of our arrival, which was so helpful as we are seniors. Housekeeping staff always greeted us in the hallways. Good variety of restaurants w/in walking distance. Excellent staff in the bar also. Overall great stay.

If you like historical buildings, you will love this one. It has that charm. Our room was on the original side of the hotel and you can tell it was built in the 1917 but that is what adds to the fun. We loved catching a drink at the Tap Room and hearing stories from the locals. I would definitely recommend

Are stay was between Christmas and New Years. The restaurant was closed—which wasn’t a huge deal. I wish they’d have made up the room more frequently and left more towels. Having the pool open was fun.
