We stayed at Hanoi Boutique Hotel for 7 days and overall had a very good experience. The hotel is situated in the heart of Old Quarter, and in a very busy street that gets clogged up in the afternoon. Due to this, you can hear the noise of the street in your room at night but you get used to it quickly.
I knew the rooms in Old Quarter would be small but I didn't realise that booking a deluxe room would be extremely small! The bed was legitimately next to the shower.
However, the Hotel itself had good personality. We enjoyed the kindness of the staff. The breakfast was really good and really appreciated the kitchen staff.
I also appreciated the daily housekeeping, the cleanliness was always well maintained.
In terms of facilities, there is a Spa as well which is good when you can't be bothered to go out. But it is a bit pricer.
The Hotel's location is also very close and in walking distance to Hoan Kiem lake and a lot of the popular landmarks.
My only real negative feedback is - do not buy your simcard through the hotel. I was told that our sim would last 3 weeks and paid 300,000vnd for it, however it only lasted for 2 weeks. There's nothing ideal about your data being shut off while you're in the middle of travelling.
