It was good. Only a few issues that we just dealt with: had to unplug phone in room because it kept rining once even with handset off, waffle maker was broke, had to wait a long time for food during breakfast and clerk refused to print me a receipt.

We were freezing in the room
One of the worst nights sleep we’ve had at a hotel. We checked in around 8:30 and had a long drive. Upon getting to our room, we needed to turn the heat up, noticing it was cool in the room. I tried to figure how to turn the heat on. It would not work. I went down to the front desk. The desk clerk, said “you have the room with the heater that doesn’t work”. So she had me space heater and said this should work to heat your room. WELL it didn’t. The temperature outside was 19 outside. The heater heated only a small area of the room. We froze all night. Breakfast was OK. Nothing special. We will never stay at a Hampton Inn again. Avoid this hotel at all cost.

Loved the proximity to Fresh Market and Publix and that the room had a fridge and microwave. The breakfast was nice and the water/cookies in the afternoon were unexpected!

The staff was amazing. The room was spacious for our needs. The AC filter may needed to be changed in our room because there was a faint odor. If you're staying there for a couple of days, it's a great experience.

I'd pay the extra money to stay elsewhere
Ironically, we switched hotels because our other place wasn't staying cool enough - unfortunately, the same thing happened here. The AC would kick on for 5 seconds max and our room wouldn't get cool enough to be comfortable with 2 young infants. We found a dirty washcloth in our shower. Breakfast was ok, not much to choose from. We had a family of 4 staying and was only given 3 bath towels...Front desk person after we had brought our issues to their attention wasn't very customer friendly - said we should have told him last night - he obviously isn't a parent, because although it was uncomfortable, after we got the kids settled down for sleep, I wasn't going to move them to another room in the middle of the night. We managed with the 3 towels in the morning before leaving. Front desk was supposed to have a manager call us about our stay but haven't heard anything.

Pro: The beds were not saggy & location is convenient to hospital Cos: It’s very noisy. Hard to exit to main road. Next y to Waffle House and Crystals and a lot of folks hanging around smoking etc. Broken glass at main entrance by Waffle House . The staff tries hard and keep the interior clean but all furniture is old and torn. Rooms need paint. A strong sewer odor from bathroom which they tried to address and it worked for one day then came back Instead of duvet their comforter are sheet wrapped so it all comes apart while you sleep ie you are not covered with a washed clean comforter ( I doubt they wash them after each guest) It’s time to remodel

Stay out of pool unless they have fixed situation
The hotel was clean and I had no complaints until my 6 year old and I was swimming in the pool.We had a man who appeared to be living out of his car start to enter the pool area.After he seen us he peaked into hotel door then walked back to his car that was park by pool. He emptied a bunch of stuff into the dumpster then left. Then shortly after that 2 womenWalked out of the hotel and entered the pool area. One woman was extremely thin framed and was covered in bruises and red marks all over her arms and legs. Also a possible scab on 1 arm.I debated on getting out of the pool with my daughter but then felt bad like maybe she had an illness. I didn’t want to place judgment. So I stayed in but after they got out of the pool I noticed they couldn't get back into the hotel door they came out of. They walked out to the parking lot and down the street. So I then realized they were not staying at the hotel. And this explains all the bruises and marking on her body. They do not have a lock on pool entrance. I have never stayed at a hotel that didn't require scanning of hotel card to enter the pool area. Also while in pool there was a few other homeless people walking by the pool area. I reported this to Hampton Inn who said they would mention possibly getting a scanner for pool area to manager and they did refund our hotel stay. Which is great but it didnt ease my stress caused from the situation. So if you stay here don’t enter the pool area unless they have fixed gate

I love staying here. We stay here several times a year when we are visiting family. A couple of things missing are a shelf in the shower and a full length mirror in the room. They do a good breakfast which we enjoy.
