Big chain that nickels and dimes
I walked into the hotel after A long trip and was greeted by a gentleman At the desk who proceeded to tell me about all of the charges that I would be nickel and dimed for. Rather than accepting the fact that Hotels.com stated that there was free parking, he insisted that the four dollar charge per night was something that the Hilton had decided and did not “update the third-party about”. I was told that I should speak with the manager who never showed up that evening and did not come in until at least two days later.
After waiting two days, I still could not get in touch with the manager and spoke with a gentleman by phone from my room named Carlos, who also refused to take any action because he is not the manager. He could hear that I was getting upset and had the audacity to tell me to relax, and then proceeded to tell me that the charges for the parking were not on my bill in the first place.
Although it’s only four dollars per night, the principal is important because I was promised free parking and I did not deserve to be treated that way for a legitimate concern.
I also found it ridiculous that they charge you $100 for incidentals so they can play with your money while you are staying there in the event of damage.
