The bed was huge. The parking is extremely limited, so I would not expect to get a spot.

Not enough parking space for late arrivals. Unfortunately this is something out with the hotel’s responsibility always book this hotel when up in Inverness.
A railway hotel with a grand entrance and one of the most dramatic staircases. Two nights in January and handy for both the railway station and the bus station. Room comfortable and bed good and large enough. Breakfast options good though on first day pastries a bit past their best. Enjoyed it though did not use the restaurant.
We always stay at the Royal Highland. It's a beautiful old hotel right in the middle of Inverness.

Beautiful Hotel with very local staff who are not professional and the level of expertise does not match the grandeur of the hotel. Also some parts of the room were in disrepair.
Lift not working, on 3rd floor!! Staff didnt say when checked in. Breakfast was good but no care given to presentation, cloths dirty etc. Woouldnt stay again.

Property was in a convenient location. Staff was pretty friendly. Lift was not working and I had 2 luggage’s. Had to ask for someone to assist but had to wait about 20 minutes which wasn’t ideal for those who spent a whole morning traveling. The hotel is nicely preserved but does need a bit of upgrading which can be done to historical buildings such as this one.
Usually a lovely hotel to stop at when heading north but was given the worse room ever- 320z Slanted floor, electrical points unsafe and low beams. Was also freezing. Asked evening manager for another room and was refused. Lovely lassy next day told me there had been many other rooms available.
Great location adjacent to station. Full of character. Quiet cozy room. Staff friendly and efficient.

The foyer is superb with an old world charm about it, comfortable and the service is very good.
However, there are areas throughout the hotel that need refurbishment e.g. carpet, windows and bathroom fittings.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
I felt the foyer of the hotel was lovely but the rooms were very dated and run down. Could be done with getting done up, was very tired looking
The price was favourable in comparison with other places in town. The bed was the comfiest I've slept in for ages! The bedroom was nicely roomy, and very cosy with the wall heater working well.
The bath which contained shower wasn't too high which was a thankful bonus re my joints!
The bath could do with a recolouring (guess you can't grout/sand/colour a bath the same as you can a wall!!) a few inches along from the plug hole inclusive, in varying parts.
Noise factor - was aware of hearing talking from room next door and could hear water running/ toilet flushing like it was in my own room - maybe 3rd floor is where the servants lived in bygone era!
All in all a good stay - all staff I met were very nice and helpful.
