I stayed at the ranch house for 5 days with my two dogs. The house was, of course, way too big for us. It would accommodate two couples and 10 kids in its three bedrooms. The house has everything you need in terms of bedroom, bathroom, living room, and kitchen equipment and is overall very comfortable with AC, heating, patio with table and seating, etc. The setting is amazing right next to the horse paddocks, which of course means that it smells horsey, (my dogs and I loved that). Early mornings and evenings are especially magical with the sun coming up or going down and the horses going about their business in the beautiful light. Nights with the stars are spectacular too, far away from city lights. I took 3 horse riding lessons while I was there and thoroughly enjoyed them and greatly benefited from them. The instructor was a
"born with horses" teenager, who in contrast to the typical riding instructor did not incessantly criticize, but allowed me to find my seat on the horse I was riding. The horse was great, much more responsive to aids than the usual lesson horse in a riding school. There is a great range of horses there, some privately owned, but several rescue horses owned by Leslie the ranch owner.
I am sure that I will go back to this wonderful place.
