The property location is very beautiful but a little difficult to find on the gps. Recommend to get there during daylight as it is a bit difficult to see the building from the road at night as it’s on a small hill. The view from the rooms during the day are amazing. The front desk is very nice and friendly.

I had an amazing time staying at this inn. The staff were incredibly friendly, the breakfast was delicious, and the surroundings were beautiful. The prices were reasonable, and the live band performances in the evening created a great atmosphere.

Amazing! Pub attached was wonderful, We had dinner in a cute cellar area which gave privacy while giving the pub feel with live music. The view is beautiful. Bald Eagles flying around. Next door was a great outdoor museum.

A fantastic view from the upper room window and balcony with central access to driving around Cape Breton. The facility was quiet despite having multiple guests at the time of our stay. There were some aspects of the room that required some sprucing up, mainly some minor trim details in the bathroom, but it is recognized it is hard to keep on top of some aspects with the environment in Cape Breton. The room was clean overall and provided a welcome respite over two nights during our exploration of the area. One area of improvement recommended would be to invest in more comfortable mattresses for the beds. Also, a quick note about the on-site restaurant, it is convenient for a pub/tavern type meal and drinks and not expensive. It was a surprise however to order a traditional "pub" meal, fish and chips, and to receive the meal with not real pub chips made fresh from potatoes but instead crinkle cut frozen french fries. But overall it is a very good Inn and we enjoyed our stay very much.

The 2 best things about our stay here were the excellent service from staff and views. Also, thank you for letting us use your laundry room for free! One suggestion: Change the shower liners regularly, unfortunately it was starting to smell (True for Room 12 as of Aug 2024) If you stay here don't forget to ask around for local waterfalls (St. Columba Washabuck). Very short and STUNNING drive up to them, and short trek on the trails too! And watch for bald eagles at sunrise from your room balcony, we saw a ton! Enjoy! :)

The Iona Heights Inn was the perfect place to stay during our Cape Breton tour. Check in was quick, staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean and spacious. The Frolic and Folk pub had great food and live music. We would definitely come back.
