Only / best hotel near mountains - Breakfast was good. Room was nice, we liked that we could walk to the beach and have a campfire. We did not like the restaurant they are hooked up to, stopped to eat and noticed several people not treated properly, hotel is great - Restaurant skip go to Porkies just down the road!

Location was absolutely perfect for visiting Porcupine Mountains, Lake of the Clouds and evening viewing of sunsets over Lake Superior. The accommodations were comfortable and rooms spacious and updated. The restaurant onsite was a bonus.

This place was awesome!! Right on Lake Superior and they have benches, picnic tables, fire pit so you can watch the Lake and sunrises and sunset. We are definitely going back to check out more of the Porcupine Mountains and this hotel is a perfect spot.

Had a wonderful time at this hotel. Great view of the lake and to be able to have a fire right by the lake was perfect! Also huge shout out to the front desk lady who was super kind and helpful. Also a huge plus they let dogs stay here and the lake is right there for them to swim in.

Great stay, great service.
We enjoyed our stay. We stayed only one night and it was a Saturday to Sunday overnight. The beach was lovely. Beautiful view of the lake! The colors in the rooms could have been better. I did not like the garish orange. We did not eat at the restaurant but we did have a few beverages in the bar. There were several televisions on and pool tables. The bartender was very nice and we received very good service. The employee who was in housekeeping as we were leaving on Sunday was very polite and asked how our stay was. This was a sign of very friendly hospitality. The breakfast was also very good and so was the coffee! We did not use the pool at all but a lot of people seemed to enjoy it, especially the children staying there! The front desk kept the pool towels well stocked, I noticed. Check-in and check-out was easy and quick. We would definitely return.

Our stay at the Wyndham was outstanding. We were able to see a most gorgeous sunset from their beach, and the pool, hot tub and sauna were awesome. In addition, the staff was very courteous and helpful. If we come back to the Porcupine Mountains, we will be engaging the Wyndham again. Kudos!!!

Great location close to Porcupine Mountains. Older renovated property, adequate. Needs new mattresses, bedding and lighter colors throughout. Robert, breakfast attendant was outstanding, personable & refilling coffee at patrons tables. We did not use the restaurant, but had a nice view of the water. Didn’t use the bar either due to dark dingy atmosphere. Employees at the front desk were friendly & helpful.
