The hotel is old but recently renovated, rooms very comfortable, great location walking distance to many attractions. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lots of choices for a healthy and tasty breakfast on roof terrace with great view. Quiet, but in my room the curtains could not block the very strong streetlight outside my window which. made it hard for me to sleep
the property is walking distance from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia including the Museum. The property is old and needs to be mordernized. Breakfast was average. The front desk staff was very courteous and helpful. Yahya and Omer were very helpful and went out of their way to please the hotel guests.
Ideally situated in the historic centre of Istanbul, a short walking distance from tramline, Topkapi Palace, Aya Sophia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, Grand Bazaar, Egyptian Bazaar and plenty of highly rated eateries, Hotel Saba was everything we could have wished for! Rooms are clean, bedding is top. Maybe a minor issue could be that the different options at the breakfast buffet don't get quickly topped up leaving guests with little choice 1 hour after opening?
Hotel Saba was a perfect place for visiting Istanbul , very close to the Hippodrome and a great variety of cafes and restaurants. Staff very helpful with tour bookings and suggestions, directions and assistance.
Hotel Saba is in a great location. Close to everything. It is nice to be down a side street for less traffic and noise. There is a lot of construction, road repair, etc going around all of Istanbul. It is not noisy, but you must watch where you are walking. Breakfast was good. Nice view from the breakfast room. There is a small lift, so that is helpful with luggage. We had one night where we could hear the people in the next room. That was unfortunate but expected in the older buildings. Istanbul has gotten pretty expensive, Hotel Saba was a good value.
Perfect location, very clean, attractive lobby, tasty breakfast and amazing staff! A bit hard to get to because of the narrow streets of the Old Town but they provide parking for 10 euro. Very satisfied, will come again!
A very nice hotel next to major attractions, with gorgeous view from the terrace where delicious breakfast is served. The staff is friendly, they can help with booking excursions or a shuttle from/to airport. Stayed there twice already. Looking forward to coming back again.
Perfect location for seeing land marks and Islamic sacred artefacts. There were frequent power outages due to the heat and load shedding which was annoying and difficult in the 40C heat. Omar, Mustafa and Jaan were very helpful.
The location of the hotel was very convenient as it is only 3-4 minute walk to the blue mosque and you can walk to most places. Daily housekeeping was very good and the towels were changed daily. Staff were generally pleasant and helpful. Laundry service was fast. Breakfast was nice especially the scrambled eggs and fresh omelettes. My only criticism was that there was no trash can in the room (only a bathroom bin which was small). Also one night we had aggressive knocking on our door for no reason, presumably from some drunk guests, which made us feel unsafe. On the whole, we were happy with the room which was comfortable.
Really poor hotel in a very good spot. Close to everything. Too bad it is run down and poorly managed. Parking is a nightmare - if you're lucky you might find a spot behind the hotel but do not count on it.
Breakfast was the worst we had in 2 weeks of staying in a dozen different hotels all over the country.
The price was cheap, about $80 per night, but the conditions were barely above hostel level.
