Off my list of places to stay.
Ants in bedding. Horrible foam pillows. Noisy. Stayed 3 nights and each morning was awaken by what seemed as moving of furniture. Dogs were on 2nd floor. Big dogs got into fights and could be heard along with their regular barking. Cheap bars of soap. I've stayed twice before. Last was 2 yrs ago. Had no problems. Possibly under new management. Very disappointed.

The hotel was a place to shower and put our heads down for a night. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The room was very musty, like wet carpet. The wall behind the table was dirty and the toilet has not been cleaned under the rim for a long time.

The property needs a lot of upkeep. Ants appeared on the desk and kept coming, more each day. Dehumidifiers were running in the hallway. I could hear the people's phone conversations clearly in the next room. When I checked in they told me they had no single rooms (which I had reserved) and asked if they could "upgrade" me to a suite. I said, "Same price?" No, it was $30 more. When I declined, they suddenly found a single room. There were some positives, such as—outside, the building looks like a decent hotel. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was prepackaged, but the variety was good. But overall, not a great place to stay.

Everything was clean. It was nice to have a clean shower and bed to sleep. We stop to sleep only since we were stay in Murphy the following day. The area is nice close to main route.

Both my son and I rented rooms separately. Both rooms were extremely damp. Air conditioner did not remove any moisture from the room. There appeared to be some mold growing within one of the pictures in the dining common area. Area around bathroom tub area was filthy. We'll never stay there again.

Good spot for a quick stay
Bed was comfortable, AC worked well, appreciate the new floor (no carpet). A few rough edges, but overall a good experience.

Is almost the only medium size hotel in Jasper butbis not great. Should be. Breakfast is really bad

Not the conditions we expected from Microtel Inn
New owners trying to get things back up to shape after being flooded because of burst pipe. We were in a handicapped room by request. I suggest new owners install ramps at the end of each hallway and provide a Handicapped marked parking space. Owners need to replace outside door card reader; door was propped open - no security! Tile was slippery in bathroom had to put down towels to prevent slipping causing need for extra towels. That was not so bad, but housekeeping did not check on room even though requested. We arrived on Thursday and had no housekeeping until my insistence on Saturday afternoon. I had to take my wet towels to front desk Thursday, Friday and Saturday to get replacements. Bed linen not changed until Saturday. All handicapped rooms were at the ends of each end of the hallways. Most egregious was the black mold in carpet and baseboard on wall and floor between bedroom and shower. I asked for a replacement room but the hotel was booked through the weekend. Room was tolerable other than that. Employees listened but could not do anything about the conditions. We will probably stay there again if the need arises but not until after the renovations to the ground floor have been completed.

You get what you pay for
The room was essentially clean, just some wear & tear issues needed- some mold in the shower. Not sure who thought it was a good design for attractiveness to make the wall behind the beds a mirror, but that needs updating. The room was your basic room, and exactly what I paid for. The interior of the hotel was clean, but the outside shows signs of age. One of the side doors looks like it was always propped open. There was no way for a person in a wheelchair to easily open the front doors as there were no automated door buttons. There was only one single staff member that wasn't rude, non-responsive to a greeting, or treated you like an outsider. It should be noted that this hotel does have a lot of longer term guests.

The staff was friendly. But inside the hotel was run down and needs to be updated. Breakfast wasn’t much of anything. The room we were in was very small. The shower pressure was awful. Just wasn’t a comfortable stay.
