My recent stay at the holiday inn was terrible. I arrived at the hotel to be informed by the front desk person that I had no reservations at the facility. The gentleman went on for 5-10 minutes asking me if I made reservations at this location. Now mind you after 10 minutes of integrating me about the reservation which he exclaimed early in the conservation that I did not have one. He then proceeds to inform me he cancelled my reservation, and he was only doing what he was told to do. Why not state this instead of excusing me of not having a reservation at all.
The second experience I had at the hotel my last night an employee attempted to enter my room with a couple. He opened the door and if I did not have the metal door latch in use the employee and couple would have entered the room on me. I rushed to door and asked the hotel employee what was going on. He apologized, but the damage was done. Mind you I am standing at the door in my pajamas and the couple is looking at me. First all how embarrassing and not safe. I asked the employee to have a manage call me. No one called or addressed my concerns until i checked out. At that time, I had to make the desk clerk JS aware of the incident. No manager contacted me until 12/5/24. He was very nice, but only wanted to offer me 50.00 dollars refund off my stay at the hotel. I told him I will accept a full one-day refund off my stay for the horrible experience I had at the hotel. I made a formal corporate complaint.
