On day one killed 4 roaches in my room. The staff was great and moved me to another room but the next room reeked of cigarettes, this is a non-smoking hotel supposedly. So the staff did move me again and next room was ok. The beds are horrible was scared a spring was going to come through and stab me. The place needs a lot of work and I was told the owners were out of the country, go figure. Anyways you get what you pay for it’s cheaper than most but not nice by any means!! Will not be returning there for sure!!

Almost perfect
Staff was friendly. Even though it says 100% smoke free, the room smelled like old smoke. The bed and bath appeared new. However there was one chair that just ruined the decor. It was shedding its pleather and looked dingy. Take the chair out and freshen the smell and it would have been a perfect experience. Great price for what I needed.

Great stay!
I had a wonderful stay. Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff were warm and welcoming from the moment I arrived. My room was clean, and comfortable. The location was great! with plenty of stuff just a short walk away. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would happily recommend this hotel to anyone.

I feel like this property has way more potential than the ownership will allow tbh. There was a cigarette burn in the toilet seat, a cigarette burn in the sheets on the bed. There was a large rather pronounced brown stain in the middle of the duvet which was apparent as soon as you walked in. Basic stuff like a water bottle, or even a small bottle of lotion would have helped offset this type of issue. Thankfully the shower and the heater worked or I would have found a different place to stay. For such a nice town, this was kind of a surprising poor condition accommodation. The shining light was definitely the staff. They were kind and efficient when I checked in and out and even were able to scramble up a utensil for me to use when the to go food was missing one. I will say the only redeeming part of the property was the staff and proximity to various restaurants (and Target) to be frank. No vacancy though without a reservation so these single visits are helping them to stay afloat!

The couple in the next room were loud and fighting. And in the opposite room, the guest had two dogs, that kept barking. Okay, I understand personal issues, but it was hard to rest. Plus the fact, there was a woman in a red car, that slept in the parking lot, across from our room; all night. And then there was another man, with a black lab; bar-b-queuing in the parking area. Made me feel like the area was a little sketchy. The room was okay, but it smelled of smoke and was musty. Glad we were able to bring our sleeping bags on this trip, we used them on top of the bed.

The management and staff are very friendly and helpful. My keycard kept locking me out of the room and management fixed right away. The only issue was the floors in the room could use a good mopping. Everything else was good. Great location and have been visiting this Red Roof for over twenty years when in Johnson City.
