Amazing hotel and property, awesome snorkeling.
The hotel and beach are so nice! Snorkeling on the left side of the beach along the coast was the best we experienced on the big island or Kauai. My only regret is that we stayed and snorkeled here first and so my expectations were set extremely high. Nothing compared! A must stay.

If you are visiting the Big Island, look no further than the western on Hapuna Beach! This resort is beaming with luxury, but also offers a beachy vibe and many spaces to escape to on the property. The food at Meridia is absolutely incredible and it is the best restaurant on the island as far as food and views! The bed in the room is like sleeping on a cloud, And the bathrooms are exquisite, equipped with dual sinks, a bathtub and a glass walk-in shower. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and received a complementary bottle of champagne and a room upgrade, courtesy of our personal concierge at the hotel, Megan! From the moment we walked in, we felt the aloha spirit! Get down to the adult pool no later than 9 AM or else people will hold their chairs and leave for the afternoon. We spent time on the ocean, and the adult pool, ate at all of the restaurants and sat at the Pika open-air bar for after-pool/beach drinks and just watched the ocean. We took the free shuttle to the sister resort, Mauna Kea, ate at the incredible Copper Bar and Hau Tree on the ocean. Manta restaurant looks pretty, but has no view like the others. We went to completely unplugged for six nights, so we did not rent a car, and still had plenty to do at the resort, never missing a drop of its beauty. This will be our permanent go to resort on the big island! Mahalo!!!

I honestly cannot think of one negative thing to say about this property, other than I needed stay longer as it was just beautiful! The staff, everyone that we came across, were so friendly and willing to help with anything we asked. The grounds were immaculate. Being right on the beach made for easy recreation, and wow, it was unbelievable! If God is willing, we will be back!

Upon arrival the lobby's views were breath taking. Guests are greeted at the desk with refreshments, hand towel and a fresh lei. We stayed in a 1 King Bed, Lanai, Resort View room. The room had a partial ocean view. The lanai was very spacious. The property and beach was very relaxing, and quiet. Perfect for couples, or a solo trip.

Beautiful property with amazing views on the best beach in Hawaii (Big Island). Great pools as well. Restaurants are top notch and rooms are quite big.

The overall experience was very good, we had profanity from the employees at the beach and poor service from the pool restaurant servers, the location is very good we have been there many times before, the younger generation just doesn’t have the professionalism that the resort deserves

Lovely Resort
We have been to the other Hawaiin Islands on previous trips but this was our first trip to the Big Island. We stayed at the Westin Hapuna Beach Resort We had a premier ocean view room which looked directly out over the beach. It was lovely. Beautiful resort with gorgeous landscaping Our room was very nicely appointed and clean. The service from everyone was excellent. Very friendly and accomodating. The food was better than we expected based on other reviews we read. In fact it was quite good. No complaints. The food is expensive as is the resort overall but not out of line when compared to other establishments on the Island.

Had a great experience overall. The beachfront location is its best feature. Hapuna beach is the best beach on that island. Aside from that it’s a bit isolated from everything else. Service was good, friendly and helpful staff. We were very happy with our room, premium oceanfront which they upgraded us to since it was our anniversary, with a complementary champagne bottle. Sunset views are amazing, which we enjoyed from our room, the infinity pool, or the beach, it made for a very relaxing stay. Loved the on-site cafe also, the poolside restaurant was sub-par, good only for drinks really, but their dinner restaurant was nice.
