We stayed at the Roosevelt Inn for one week and had no complaints. It is within walking distance to restaurants and stores and a good base camp for all of the sights in the area. Front desk staff was always friendly, breakfast had a variety of options, and cleaning service refreshed our towels everyday and fresh sheets once during our stay at our request. Hotel has a small pool and pool table as well. We would stay here again.

An Ode to TR, but not up to TR's Standard
We enjoyed the Roosevelt theme and the staff were kind and polite. However, during our 3000 mile road trip, we stayed at quite a few pet friendly hotels. This was the ONLY one which charged an extra fee for the "additional cleaning" necessary for pets. The carpeting in our room was stained everywhere. We made sure we wore slippers rather than walk barefoot on it. Dust was evident. I don't believe the $25 pet fee was justified or appropriate. The breakfast was adequate. After this hotel, we stayed in a Staybridge in Denver. What a remarkable difference! The Staybridge was clean and truly pet-friendly.

A great place to stay!
We had a wonderful stay! The staff was very nice/accommodating. The breakfast was very good. The room was cute with the additional area to sit and look outside and the beds were very comfortable which doesn't always happen at hotels. Very close to mount Rushmore and keystone is a very central location to be able to see things both north and south without having to drive a longer distance.

Friendliest staff ever!
Every person we met, from the front desk to the hall way to the breakfast area was very friendly. It was a very positive experience! Breakfasts weren't copious but delicious! Al three days we had several hot items to pick from along with pastries, breads and cereals. Hot items are made on site, not reheated prepackaged items. The carpet in our living area was very loose, not well installed. Possible tripping hazard.

You know, the older lady at the counter is really doing her best. Very helpful. The hotel is kinda run down though. Rooms are dingy, shower lackluster, doors stick, elevator is slow. Our fan made squeaking noises and the pleasant woman at the desk kindly brought us a room fan. I probably wouldn’t stay here again. Outside is nice and it’s kind of cute period look essentially, but this place is badly in need of updates. It probably doesn’t matter though, they were full with tourists regardless.
