Plenty of Room but Kitchen Lacking
Overall had a wonderful stay in this unique home. Plenty of room for 6 adults and space to unwind from others. Overall well maintained and clean. Beams and upper cabinets in kitchen could use some attention. Kitchen layout was fine. Plenty of dishes for serving, but lacking in items for cooking. I understand maybe others eat out more, but choose to cook to save on costs. I had move stuff around to make room for dry goods in the cabinets. Also, it was frustrating that there wasn’t a decent set of prep knives. The property does not advertise a grill. However, I was able to see a grill in one of the pictures and thought oh and maybe it just didn’t get listed. When we got to the property, it was locked up and realized it was owner only use. As someone who’s previously sold grills, I totally understand not wanting someone to abuse your nice grill. However, I think it’s worth investing in a cheaper version/grill for guests. I do understand the fire risks/restrictions but as we drove around town, it seemed that was limited to open flame and not propane grills.

Great location and Quiet. We spent 75% of the time on the upper deck. View of stars was amazing. The air conditioning I did miss for it being so hot on our stay. We enjoyed the time there. Ron USMC

Great location, beautiful house
We loved the location being close to the lake and the ski resorts. The house is great. It was a very comfortable space. Plenty of room and a great place to recuperate after epic days of great skiing.

Very Nice House. Good Value.
This is a very nice 3 bedroom, 3 bath house. It is fully equipped and is just as advertised. It is about a mile to the beach down/up a steep road. Great balconies with a limited view of the lake. It was very warm during our stay and the air conditioning was not very effective during the hottest part of the day. We were a small group but there is plenty of room and you could sleep 6-8 people.

Fantastic mountain cabin
Fantastic experience for our weekend getaway. House was clean and ready for our arrival. The driveway and stairs were even well plowed/shovel despite a large storm the day before. The gas fireplace added a great ambiance and the main sitting area had great tall windows for forest/lake views.

Clean, comfortable and nicely decorated
We were very pleased with the home. It had everything that we needed in the kitchen, with little extras everywhere throughout the house such as the game closet. I really liked the humidified furnace feature. The TV room can serve as a fourth bedroom which is nice. We enjoyed the view out of the upstairs window- all the way to the lake on a sunny day. The one negative is the steep driveway that was icy when we arrived. Our 4 wheel drive Suburban actually slipped on the ice into the car behind us while we were parking. This could probably be resolved if the housekeepers throw some salt on the driveway before each new guest arrives.

Inconvenient, disappointed
My family and I couldn't decide if we should book a cabin for 1 night or 2 nights just due to us driving 8 hours and arrive into Lake Tahoe at 8am. We decided it would be best just to get a cabin Friday so at least when arriving in the morning we can have a place to cook breakfast and shower before our adventure at the lake. Trying to settle in, we realized the hot water was not working. I called a couple times trying to get in contact about the hot water but going through a 3rd party and not the owner directly of course, this was a process and took a while. After countless calls back and forth, finally the hot water was turned on a little after noon. At this point, the entiring booking for Friday felt as if it was a lost cause because Friday check out was at 11am anyways. My family and I ended up just going to the lake by the time I got a call back that the hot water was working. This was pretty disappointing to start our trip this way! Aside from all of that, the cabin was great and we still tried to turn out trip around and have a good time. But I am giving 1 star due to the price I paid for the cabin and using only for 1 full day. It was only in use Saturday 3pm - Sunday 11am.
