This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a motel. I’m no stranger to a budget motel, so I’m not overreacting either. The room looked more or less fine at check in, I had a nice swim in the pool, but I didn’t inspect the bed, which was a mistake. At 2:30am I woke up to find the bed crawling with bed begs. I had to wake up the manager to demand a room switch. This guy was so rude, never once an apology or acknowledging the bed bug problem, just kept saying I should’ve noticed sooner. After much pushing he gave me a different room. The next day I asked for a refund entirely, since now I had to spend the rest of my trip at a laundromat washing everything I own. He flat out refused, basically saying I was lucky he gave me a second room. Said he did that because he “respects me.” What a joke, this guy respects no one leaving conditions like that. I stayed in Room 107, by the way. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
