I do not recommend this hotel.

I booked a room for 9 nights at this hotel because it is close to the hiking trails. I usually book at the HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS on West Wabash Ave. in Eureka where I always had a good experience. I regret my booking at HOLIDAY INNS EXPRESS Arcata Airport for the following reasons. 1- When I checked in I asked for a daily cleaning/refreshing of my room. They agreed. But it turned out that the room was not cleaned daily and that I had to ask every single day, sometimes several times in the afternoon, for the room to be cleaned. 2- I also ran out of toilet paper, body wash, tissues several times, even of the first day as they do not seem to check if refill are needed. 3- When I went to the pool I saw plenty of ants. 4- In our bedroom there was a little bit of black mold at the bottom of the windows. Therefore I will not return to this hotel and do not recommend it. On the positive side, the breakfast is great and the room was spacious.
