The staff were very friendly and helpful to me, especially as I was there so long and the food was really yummy breakfast and dinner. (I am the lady in room 7 who stayed for 2 weeks, if staff are reading this haha) Location was great and when I needed transport the staff helped me to book one. Thank you sooo much everyone! :) Would definitely recommend this place to everyone!

For a basic hotel close to the airport this is a fine place to stay. The rooms are basic and the bathroom spartan but it was quiet and the air-con was cold. Bed was comfortable enough. It’s very close to the airport - a ten minute walk - making it ideal for a place to sleep between flights. Food from the restaurant was delicious. Overall not a fancy place but definitely good enough for a rest.

People are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are pretty and clean. The property and pool are so pretty. It is off the main road so it feels so nice to be tucked away, yet easy to walk out to the busy area.

We stayed at The Kutaya for 2 weeks and thought it was wonderful. The staff were always lovely, kind and helpful. Breakfast was provided and yummy. The lobby is manned 24 hrs a day. Lipping Mall is around 500m away and the beach is around 200m. There are no kettles in the room but hot water is available in the lobby anytime. It is near the airport so very convenient and spotlessly clean. We would definitely stay again.

Whoever wrote in his/her review that the hotel is in walking distance must be a surprime athlete. There is no way you could walk and find the place in some back alley. The hotel is old and surely could do with some renovation. The staff was very friendly.

Only stayed for 1 night and staff was extremely kind, pleasant and helpful. We got a delicious welcome drink and were very warmly greeted. Bathroom is a bit run down and could use some work and there were quite a few mosquitos in the room as well as a lizard. However, since we were only there for a night we didn’t even bring it up and the staff was so lovely I’m sure they would have helped out to make amends. * We noticed some reviews talked about fending off aggressive dogs to get to the property and I would like to note that we encountered these dogs and they are not aggressive nor do they really interact with tourists unless you engage them. They were very cute and fun to watch play

The property was perfectly fine for one night as we had to catch an early flight the next day. The pool looked nice, but we didn’t swim in it. The room was clean and had everything we needed for a short stay. There were simple restaurants very close.

Recommended a guide to me who ridiculously overcharged me - very upsetting as recommended by the hotel which I thought would be trustworthy. If they ever refer you for tour information to a man called Tom (Mr Thomas), do not use him.

This is perfect if you are needing a close place to airport. The rooms are spacey and clean. A/C works great. Small fridge. Walkable to beach and a mall. Breakfast available. Water station for filling your bottle.

A nice enough place to hole up
A very pleasant place to stay, tucked away in quiet alleys ; the many Hindu shrines would not be everyone's taste, but agreeable people who run it, and really quite easy to walk to the airport, both domestic and international terminals. And a pool ! Also they have scooters to rent out ...

The walk from the airport was very tricky and I don’t recommend walking alone. Maps was way off! The property itself was fantastic. A/C freezing, wifi, breakfast, hospitality, grounds all beautiful. Also very peaceful.

Good for a night, just to get some rest. I paid for the breakfast included. Fried rice & fruit plate was delicious! I checked in around 1 or 2 am. They helped me correct my booking for the night I arrived & the host was very sweet. Room is basic, I got the deluxe but there wasn’t anything deluxe about it. But he that’s what you get for $26 😄
