The location is great, just a few mins to the Kyoto station and the front staff, hotel staff are helpful and pleasant. It's really a shame to give them a rate of 3, however there is a reason for. I think the hotel is purposely built or comparted for small apartments, so you can expect a good sized bed room with a small bath, a mini kitchen (including a kettle, a microwave, a mini fridge), also a washing machine which is handy for a long stay, but there are no kitchen utensils to really use of that kitchen! No dishes, no cups, no nothing! not a pan or even a magcup for your morning coffee which you especially need to ask for at the front desk. If there is no kitchen there, I might rate them by 4 only with a microwave.....lol....but there is a kitchen for use and I expected to use during my long stay to feel more at home. Does hotel knows that without kitchen utensils, a kitchen itself becomes useless possession in the room? Anyway, a room is tidy and well maintained (my room was somehow smoking room, so it stinked and needed a room freshner, it might be able to change it during but I chose to stay in the same room-I am non smoker) if you don't need to use a kitchen, it will be a satisfactory stay and well worth for the money.
