Great location for getting around Kyoto and beyond. Excellent breakfast buffet. Staff was very helpful, but not too many fluent in English. Great location; however, Kyoto Station is always hectic and frenetic — sometimes it gets to you.

Hotel Granvia Kyoto was one of the best hotel stays I have ever had. We stayed in a Superior Double room. The room was spacious with a king size bed. As a taller person from North America I appreciated the rain shower at the end of a day of sightseeing. The breakfast buffet was a great way to start each day. The staff are friendly and very good at their jobs. The housekeeping staff did a terrific job. I would definitely stay again if I am visiting Kyoto.

The rooms are spacious unlike the hotel I stayed at in Tokyo. The Staff are very adorable and friendly and polite and hospitable honestly it’s the full package. The services here are superb and the atmosphere is great. There’s tons of amenities unlike the hotel I stayed at in tokyo like the gym, spa, sauna, business room, pool etc.

The Granvia is an excellent hotel if you are coming into Kyoto on the Shinkansen. It is located right in Kyoto Station and is easily walkable to get there with luggage. The hotel is beautiful and very clean. The staff were all very nice and helpful. We would definitely stay there again if we are in Kyoto.

Great central location from everything
This hotel is located in the center of kyoto station. Was a little tricky to find getting off from one of the local trains but once we hit the central gate we saw the signs. The hotel is huge and the staff are more than accommodating. They were super nice and all spoke English. The hotel accepts and provides luggage forwarding. Our room was spacious for a Japanese hotel and very clean. There are tons to do in the station alone but we chose this hotel as its in a nice central location to all of the major things and sights in Kyoto
