Loved staying at this property. It was spacious, clean, and very high end. The rooms were beautiful and very aesthetically pleasing. Convenient location from Kyoto station and minutes away from Gojo station. I don’t think I can stay anywhere else in Kyoto in the future.

Kanra Hotel is just exceptional.Hotel room is beautiful and big for Japanese standards.The Spa was great. The staff was amazing.Ten minutes walk from Kyoto station. Next to one of the most important Temple in Kyoto. I really recommend this hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Kanra. The staff were incredibly polite and helpful, greeted us warmly and kindly helped us with directions to places we wanted to visit. The room was spacious and immaculately clean with a lovely cypress bath tub. The location was easy to find and very convenient with the subway station moments away. We loved it!

It’s my second stay at this property, and I don’t plan on going back. The room I stayed was extremely noisy, and it has MANY scratches on the wall. Staff was okay, but not super friendly. Not the experience I got the first time, so won’t go back again.
