I am not one to ever complain, but my experience at Extended Stay America was extremely disappointing. My room was damp and moldy, and despite our request to switch rooms, we were not allowed to. Maintenance came in to try to fix the issue, but with no luck. Our beds and everything in the room got damp. I ended up getting sick, coughing, and throwing up, so we had to switch to another local hotel. We had multiple rooms, and none of our other coworkers had a wet, mildewy, moldy room. When we brought up about our coworkers’ rooms not being damp, they said it was because they had carpet. We were planning on staying another 4 days for business, but after that, our whole group switched motels. I would recommend the Hilton or Hampton Inn; they have friendly staff and listen to their customers’ needs.
