We came to Lake Placid for a three night getaway to celebrate my birthday The Hampton Inn was the perfect hotel for this little vacation We had a studio with a balcony overlooking the lake, which was very nice All the staff that we encountered were extremely helpful, polite, and welcoming My only complaint which is very minor is the chair and couch in our room with very uncomfortable to sit on We really couldn’t figure out why that was the case there was something weird about the cushions. I’m not sure that the property may want to look into that. Other than that, we were pleasantly pleased with the room at the location The free breakfast was adequate and had plenty of options The room that was the main area for eating and hanging out and is quite lovely overlooking the lake

Overall stay was nice, but I had to checkout a day early because of my daughter was not well and there was no option to get any refund or points. they charged me full day even i didn't stay. I spoke to expedia they said Hotel doesn't allow and when I spoke to Hotel they said because it's booked by expedia they don't offer any refund or points. Kind of going in circle situation.

Very nice hotel. Stay away from Hotels.Com
Wonderful location at the foot of Mirror Lake. Easy walk to Olympic museum and ice arena. Hotel was very clean and staff friendly. Booked through Hotels.Com: big mistake as you can do better through hotel directly. Canceling my account with them. Hampton Inn was great, however.

We had an amazing time, the hotel location is perfect with restaurants and bars nearby. The outside seating area was beautiful and short drive to most beautiful sightseeing. Would definitely comeback.

Very Pleasant Stay
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The facility is very nice and the view can't be beat--right on Mirror Lake! Walkable to many shops and restaurants, as well as to the main Olympic facility. Breakfast was the typical help-yourself fare. Our room was serviced daily! What a treat!
