Love they are dog friendly! Great customer service all around and great breakfast. Lilly who worked as bartender and cook was a delight. Close to SOFI which was the reason we stayed. Quiet and safe area.

My friend and I arrived at the property at 1pm to ask if there was early check in available and to ask if our rooms could be close to one another since we were traveling together. The front desk associate said that there weren’t rooms ready yet and asked if we could come back in an hour. We came back at 3pm (check in time) and my friend proceeded to be able to check into her room and I was told that it would be about 30 minutes for mine. Considering the fact that we had been to property earlier, that was very concerning. We took our bags to my friends room and waited. I went back down to front desk at 330 and was told room still wasn’t ready. At 430 my friend got a call to her room advising my room was finally ready. I went downstairs to complete my check in and get my keycard (availability and communication). I was not informed of the $50 a day deposit at check in but on the next morning saw 2 charges from hotel and stopped by front desk to be told about it then. I typically put holds of this nature on a credit card and not a debit card so that my funds are not tied up. I didn’t do that this time because I wasn’t made aware of the need for a deposit (lack of communication) On several occasions I saw trash in the hallway of my floor and in the elevator corridor and the ice machine on the floor was not working.

Good stay. Parking was messy and Huey was great.
Overall it was a good stay. HUEY at the front desk made this stay 4 stars instead of 3. We showed up at 315pm and had to wait a hour for our room. HUEY was more then helpful with drinks and snacks and he waived our parking fee. Hampton parking situation is a mess its shared with a rental car companies and its ultra full and Elevator was broken at parking structure. The breakfast was on point. Its a good acess point location to get to Manhattan beach and to LA areas.

Southbay parking is next door with connecting bridge. So easy to get a free shuttle even though hotel doesn’t offer shuttle service. Staff were all super kind and friendly. They had to go breakfast bags for those leaving for early departures.

Newer Hampton Inn & Close to LAX
Very clean, one of the newer Hampton Inns. Incredibly close to LAX. Rooms are spacious, comfortable.

I'm honestly pretty disappointed with this hotel and truly don't understand how it has such high ratings. When we got there, the staff was kind enough to allow us to check in early but the water to the Entire hotel was off to some maintenance and we were informed it was gonna be off for a few hours. When we got to our room, we noticed the TV wasn't working so I let the front desk know. They said they would work on it while we were out. When we got back later that night, no one had even stopped by to check it so i called then again. They sent someone and we were informed that it was a satellite/roof issue and some one would work on it tomorrow. The next day, we had to bring it to the attention front desk again and the person paged the facilities person in front of me and they fixed it pretty quickly so I don't really know why it was so long to address. the first morning we had spend there, our family was going to disney so we woke up early to get ready. I go into the bathroom to shower and the shower handle falls off and clatters around the tub loud as heck at 5 ish in the morning. I'm sure the people below us heard. This was the first time using the shower. the staff fix it while we left for the day. Honestly it wasn't horrible but still disappointing and probably wont be back. Staff is really friendly and after all the weird stuff that happened they comped the parking and gave us a couple of drinks from the snack bar. i appreciate the front desk staff.
