Best Hotel in Thousand Oaks

We decided to stay at Palm Garden while we were evacuating from the wildfires near our area. All of the hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. We were able to keep our dog with us for the time we had stayed which was very helpful as we didn’t want to leave her at a nearby shelter. Our room was nice and the king bed was extremely comfortable. It helps everything is conveniently located to the hotel. This hotel is reasonably priced which was also helpful. We enjoyed our stay so much we will make this hotel our first choice if we need to evacuate.

Lovely locally owned hotel

Very relaxing non-chain owned hotel. Feels like it's family-run. Lots of open space and nice rooms. And it's old enough that it's got some historical vibes.

We had our dog with us and it was so nice because there’s a huge courtyard and pet bags and there were a lot of other pets there. The pet fee was also very reasonable.

Renovated charmer that needs a little improvement

Decent renovated Hotel that's right off the freeway. The rates were good, but make sure to bring ear-plugs. Between the freeway noise and other noises, I just couldn't sleep w/o ear-plugs. Other than that, decent renovated rooms. A couple of tips, please revise the breakfast offering daily. We were there for only 2 days, but was served the same darned things both days. And if you're supposed to be dog friendly, we noticed that there's very little room around the property where your dog could actually relieve itself.

I stayed here for two nights with my two small dogs, and it was an amazing experience! The pet relief areas located right in front of the rooms were not only incredibly convenient but also beautifully designed. There were charming fountains and bougainvillea-covered walls that added a lovely touch. I didn’t have to take my dogs far for potty breaks, even in the middle of the night or early morning—they could just step right outside! The breakfast at the restaurant was also fantastic. Highly recommend this place for anyone traveling with pets!

Very nice atmosphere and location!

We stayed for 5 nights and it was a great experience. I really like the outdoor areas with nice comfortable places to sit. The staff were friendly and accommodating. They were consistent and responsive with cleaning requests. The restaurant (Selvin's) has fantastic service, food and cocktails! There is a brunch (included w/booking) in the restaurant which is pretty good. This is the only glitch: The staff is the brunch room made us very uncomfortable. They have two tip jars- so I'm not sure if this had to do with the behavior. They were constantly hovering around and often in the way. I saw them standing-arms folded-staring at the guests several times as they were serving themselves. The brunch closes at 11am, and not only do they pack it up IMMEDIATELY (coffee and all), they start packing it up early while people are still getting food. One morning they turned on some machine at 10:45. It appeared to be in the pizza oven, sounded like a vacuume. The sound was horrendous and very loud. I stepped outside to take a phone call and got locked out of the restaurant- with my purse and phone inside. They had locked the doors prior to closing and I had to go to the front desk to get back in. Aside from the pushy staff at the brunch, the rest of the stay was fantastic. The hotel is beautiful.

I’ll keep this brief because it’s my second review for this hotel in 30 days, and with good reason. This place is excellent, and I will certainly return again! They do everything well: Professional, friendly, welcoming staff Clean, modern rooms and common areas Safe, abundant parking Pet friendly Good breakfast What more needs to be said. :-)
