Clean room, good service. A bit more bare bones where there is no coffee in the lobby or bathroom available if your room is not ready. Staff was helpful and courteous. Clean and well run place for the age of the hotel and in a nice prt of the LA area. Parking cramped so a full sized truck or suv would have a challenging time.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Safari Inn. The location was perfect, close to food and everything we needed. The shuttle service was great, and took us to Universal Studio and downtown with no issues at all. (Thanks Luis!!) We'll stay here again for sure!

I booked this hotel solely because of the historic value of the property and their amazing Safari Inn famous vintage neon sign. The property is in good condition and is a classic motel. Keep in mind this is for a particular type of vintage Americana experience not a luxury stay. You will feel transported back in time to the 1950s. Our room was clean, with a prime view of the neon sign and pool. The mattresses were not too comfortable for our liking but were okay. They have an elevated deck by the pool and sign atop the office drive thru with patio tables and umbrellas. This is best at night as Burbank is sunny and hot in August, I enjoyed my stay, and staff were stellar. We were there during a 4.4 earthquake centered nearby and the property felt solid. The location is so convenient to major freeways for excursions to Ventura, downtown LA, etc. I was pleased with the surrounding neighborhood and felt safe, with my impression of Burbank as a clean, safe town. Would stay again, I’m thrilled this property is being preserved as one of few remaining. Good value, we stayed two nights.

The room was very clean but sparse. No table or chair to sit in. The bathroom was huge but the walls were bare. Please hang a picture on one of the walls. The shower was awesome though! One of the best! We were able to walk over to Tallyrand for a nice breakfast.

The Safari Inn is basic, not posh, but it does basic well. Overall very clean, although the floor could have been cleaner. Very friendly and helpful staff. Loads of outlets, which is helpful. It would have been nice to have conditioner as well as shampoo and body wash, although I appreciate the refillable containers in the tub that waste much less plastic than travel sized toiletries. The parking lot is tight and some larger vehicles made it nearly impossible to pass through it.

Greatly enjoyed my time and stay at the Safari Inn last week! Super close to all amenities and only 5 min drive to downtown area and shops. Staff were friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

It was a family friendly property with attentive and friendly staff. Pool was great. Free parking a plus but the parking lot is tight and gets full of you come back later in the night. The only set back was that the first night there we were on the second floor and we got 2 phone calls from the front desk about noise that the downstairs room complained about. It is not the hotel's fault but we have 2 children and they sometimes get carried away. We told them to calm down but the two times there was complaints, it was before 9pm and after 9:30am the next day. People need to be more understanding that they're in a hotel in close quarters. We moved to a downstairs room pretty quickly and it was great. However, as expected, we did hear people upstairs. It wasn't anything out of the ordinary. So to the complaining person, ease up and chill out.
