This is a decent, convenient, and safe place to stay -- especially with kids -- if you're wanting to explore Carpenteria or nearby areas and not pay Santa Barbara hotel prices! The breakfast was just fine. Staff was nice and housekeeping did an excellent job. My only complaint is that if you're staying on a busy weekend when the place is full, prepare to hear your room neighbors (especially if you have one of those shared doors/suites). For some reason, our neighbors decided to show up at 4 a.m. and proceeded to have a full-volume conversation for about 30 minutes near the shared door! They left the next morning, thank God! So, maybe bring your earplugs if you're staying on a busy day.

I booked for a night which was not cheap (it’s okay) but the fact as soon I walked in with my sister the front desk guy don’t recall his name (had long hair w/ a beard) looked at us from head to toe and seemed in a bad mood. Whatever wasn’t the greeting I was expecting! Hotel was old fashioned, bathroom smelled a lot of Clorox within few hrs it went away. Definitely not staying there again.

Great location close to freeway but we did not hear any noise. Close to the downtown area where there’s plentiful of food choices. The beach was also no more than 5-10 minutes away.

After a long day out , my family and I came back to the room we were staying in and it had not been cleaned and I asked about it and was told how would they know we were out. I have never had to ask to have my my room cleaned and usually it's just a simple knock on the door to see nobody is in at the time for cleaning of the room. We ended up having to be out of the room another hour or so until they cleaned the room.😞

The hotel is well maintained, check in was fast, the bed, pillows and linens were feather free. Decaf coffee and tea were available in the lobby. The tub faucet dripped even if you turn it tight. Front desk person took care of that after we reported it to him. Staff are friendly, breakfast served hot and enough for their guests. Overall, we will book at this hotel again as our stay was pleasant.
