The hotel Pax was great. It was super clean, the room was bigger than I expected, and the staff was very kind and helpful. The free breakfast was nice - they had special touches like hot cocoa (which I don't usually see at free breakfasts), and also an orange juice squeezing machine so you can make fresh-squeezed orange juice. This hotel was also a great value. It is quite close to the train station (maybe a 15- or 20-minute walk). There are also a lot of buses on the main road, so I'm sure it must be possible to take a bus to the train station or town center. I ran to the town center in about 15 minutes, so that seems pretty close as well.
If you come here with kids (especially in the warmer months), there is a fantastic playground in a network of lovely public parks that runs all around the town center. The playground has a life-size pirate ship (good for ages 3-12, probably), big tunnel slides (for 4 and up, probably), and an amazing water play area (with terraces and little rivers and shallow splashy areas perfect for ages 1-6). The hotel staff would be able to tell you exactly where the "pirate ship playground" is, or you could Google it.
