So Lytton seemed like a good spot to stop for a night on a weekend away and my sister mentioned this place. In terms of what is in the area, this is probably a good option. It is 100% made for families with kids and likely provides many fond memories in that way. The other reviewer who said not so much for a romantic getaway - that's probably true. That's what we did but we were so early in the season that there was practically no one there and they had the good sense not to put the few people who were there on top of each other, so it was nice. We stayed in a yurt, and as such we paid a ridiculously high price for a glorified tent with no bathroom. Having said that, it was a very nice yurt. The bathrooms are neither plentiful nor that close by, nor that pretty, nor if you're a privacy stickler all that private, but again, we were out of season so it wasn't an issue. We played bean bag toss which was fun, we could have played a dozen other games, we went on a lovely desert walk, it is an absolutely beautiful location, and I don't think that the trains or the highway would be nearly as much of a deal as the other campers in terms of noise if it had been busy which, again, it wasn't. It has a 10am checkout which is ridiculous. We didn't eat the food there because we like to spread our money around in small towns ethically. You will be greeted by the most perfect teenagers from around the world which will annoy or amuse you depending on the extent of your parental nature & exp.
