The City Garden Grand Hotel is a solid choice for a comfortable stay with some delightful quirks. The rooms are newly renovated with hardwood floors, a bidet, and a rain shower with impressively strong water pressure. Slippers and a pillow menu (from soft to firm) ensure comfort, and the staff—front desk, concierge, and breakfast crew—are all polite and professional. Now, about breakfast... it’s hit or miss. One day you might enjoy Filipino dishes like crispy danggit, but other days, the fruit selection is limited to soggy cantaloupe and canned pineapple. I’d skip the breakfast package if consistency is important to you. For the best experience, book the deluxe room with a view—it's definitely worth the extra. Overall, it’s a hotel that you’ll get accustomed to and maybe even grow to love, quirks and all.

The hotel is in a good location close to a few bars and restaurants. The rooms are standard but clean. Now for the bad part the elevators take forever. Most times it was easier to just take the first available one(up or down) and ride it until you reach your floor. We stayed for New Year’s Eve because of firefly being a rooftop bar/restuarant. The event was sold out. Which is expected on a holiday but to not allow paying hotel guests to even purchase a drink from the bar is ridiculous. If you needed to use the restroom a staff would escort you so you didn’t interact with the open air party. for future reference when there is an event or holiday the hotel should cater to the paying guests at the hotel and not allow non guests to book beforehand.

Wonderful staff, very spacious rooms and truly comfortable queen sized beds. Resto firefly and spice cafe serve delicious meals. Not really a walkable area unless you’re willing to brave traffic.

Room was still being cleaned when we arrived so we had to wait, found a bug in my milk during breakfast, and I’ve never had to wait so long for an elevator. But the staff are very friendly and eager to help, and overall the hotel is very nice.

Clean, wonderful powerful shower. Friendly staff, room service catering options. Went to the restuarant, but 2 hour waiting list, so we had to eat elsewhere. Would suggest priority reserve for staying guests. Perhaps 7 to 10pm for paying residents only.
