All my past visits to Microtels have been wonderful. This location had great front desk staff, but needs some cleaning. There is a smell when you get into the building, and in the room. The walls were filthy. This was obviously due to previously guests, but should be fully cleaned up for future guests.

I was very disappointed with my stay there. Desk clerk was not helpful he acted if he didn’t care. Lack of electrical plugs and no usb ports. Mainly a lot of different little issues I probably wouldn’t stay with them again. Not a good vacation experience.

Room was clean, no major issues. Breakfast was good and it included your normal eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, bagels, yogurt etc. staff was friendly. Hotel was 15 min from New Buffalo, where we wanted to be. Recommend going to the beach for sure. My only downfall was I wish the room pumped the AC stronger cause I enjoy a super cold room. Other than that, we would definitely stay here! Kids enjoyed the pool too.

My room smelled of cigarettes, and even saw a burn hole in the blanket. Fire detector not on the wall . No other suite to change too except a room w 2 beds . Very unfortunate

Arriving at 8pm our room was not ready. It seemed to take a long time for reception to find us a clean room. Arriving at the room there was a musty smell and odor of smoke in the bathroom. The toilet appeared to have been used and not freshly cleaned which I wiped down myself. All else appeared clean. We were fiven an accessible room which we did not appreciate as we booked standard and do not appreciate accessible bathroom layouts with no vanity. As we were tired and figured that it took so long to get this room it would likely be a worse room if we asked for a switch, we just went to sleep. It was comfortable and the included breakfast was good. Our experience was not worth the price and we won't stay there again.
